President Ivanov on Naming dispute PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 23 November 2009

Commenting media reports on likely name settlement that will be conducted by stages, President Gjorge Ivanov urged media not to report unchecked information and cite unreliable sources.

“The name process is in a sensitive stage and each one of us should act responsibly. We presented our opinion after our Ambassador Zoran Jolevski informed us of the content of Vassilakis’ meeting with mediator Matthew Nimetz. We consider the Greek positions to be extreme,” the President stated.

He added that state officials monitoring the progress of the process had anticipated a moment when a proposal would be offered. “However, the situation now is quite different. Now there are initiatives from EU for direct talks, which will take place when the time is right,” President Gjorge Ivanov said.

Brussels' meddling in the name dispute outside of UN frameworks hints on 1912 maneuvers. The Euro trash seems poised more than ever to permanently damage Macedonia.

End the talks. Go through legal channels for everything from 1912 on.
