The same customs duty will be imposed on old and new automobiles that will be imported into Macedonia. Customs duty will thus amount to five percent of a vehicles’ value, regardless of technical performances.

This has been prescribed in the Amendment to the Act on Customs Tariff that was adopted by the parliamentary Budget and Financial Committee a few days ago.

"The customs duty rates have been completely equalized for passengers’ vehicles, and new as well as used cars will thus have the same customs duty of five percent," said Nada Stancevska from VMRO-DPMNE.
