Macedonian dies in Afghanistan, no confirmation from authorities PDF Print E-mail

44 year old Bozidar Spasovski of Kumanovo is reported to have died in Afghanistan today, though Macedonian authorities haven't been able to confirm this.

Spasovski was a former member of the ARM and was working for a private security firm in Afghanistan. His death was confirmed by his wife, however there are conflicting reports as to how he died. The first information which came out said Spasovski died of brain hemorrhage, however, latest reports say he was shot in the head while securing a convoy.

There are as much as 2,000 Macedonians, mainly from Kumanovo and Tetovo who work in Afghanistan.
