In a poll conducted among Serbian citizens, respondents pointed their dislike towards Albanians and Croatians, and their appeal towards Italians and Japanese who ranked higher than Montenegrins. On the scale for "acceptability" and "pure antipathy", the Albanians scored -3.3, while the Croats finished with -2.0. Other Serbian neighbors picked up points in the antipathy category with the Macedonians, Bosnians and Roma all recording -1.3. Only the Montenegrins came close to being 'acceptable' for the Serbs by scoring -05. From the larger foreign nations, Serbs showed sympathy towards the Russians with +0.9, towards the Italians with +0.3 and the Japanese with +0.2. The Americans didn't fare too well scoring -2.5, followed by the British with -2.0
