The water of Ohrid Lake Saturday is increased by 2 centimetres compared to Friday and is 23 cm above critical level, Crisis Management Centre reports presenting the measuring results.

Water level rise is caused by heavy rainfalls in Ohrid and Struga region where 17 litres per sqm fell in just couple of hours.

Crisis Management Centre assessed the situation as stable because competent organs have taken all preventive measures at critical points along lakeshore.

The level of Globocica lake is 1 cm lower compared to yesterday, while Debar lake has space for additional accumulation of water since it has not reached the critical level.

According to Hydrometeorological Bureau the weather will stabilise in next days, no new rainfalls are expected so the situation with Ohrid Lake will be stabilised.
