The only Macedonian alpine skier, 20 year old Antonio Ristevski placed
55th in men's Giant slalom earlier today. He had a good run at the first
interval, lagging behind 1.37 seconds, however could not keep the pace
at the second and third interval finishing 7.02 seconds behind gold
medalist Karlo Janka of Switzerland. The best skier from this European corner was not surprisingly from Slovenia, Gorza Ales who finished 9th, while Croatia's famous skier Ivica Kostelic finished 10th. Other skiers from our neighborhood include Bulgaria's Stefan Georgiev who finished 53rd, Greece's Dimitriadis Vassilis 58th and Bosnia's Marko Rudich in 66th. Ristevski is scheduled to appear in Men's slalom on the 27th.
