UEFA had suspend Bosnian soccer referee Novo Panic for life, local media reported today, citing that the decision is likely due to rigging an international competition.

Acting general secretary of the Bosnian Football fedderation Jasmin Bakovic confirmed that the UEFA Disciplinary Committee meeting held on Friday suspended Panic for life.

Earlier, Bosnian media reported that suspicions arose of involvement in Panic's rigging of competition among the youth teams of Switzerland and Georgia (1-0), played on November 18 of last year.

Novo Panic is 'popular' in Macedonia after a bizarre incident in a friendly competition Montenegro - Macedonia, played in Podgorica in November 2008.

Macedonian representatives then accused Panic of scandalous behavior, indicating that during the game the Bosnian official appeared intoxicated and constantly cursed and abused Macedonian players.
