Greek farmers decided to continue the border blockades due to the unsuccessful negotiations with representatives of the Greek Ministry of Agriculture.

The National Coordinative Committee is due to hold a session in Veria, where they plan to ask for a direct meeting with Prime Minister Papandreou. Greek farmers plan to meet once more with Minister of Agriculture Katerina Batzeli and urge for solving their problems.

Due to their protest, Macedonian travelers are informed not to visit Greece this Thursday and Friday as all border checkpoints will be closed.
