The Macedonian national basketball team was drawn in Group B of the EuroBasket qualifiers with the likes of Great Britain, Bosnia, Ukraine and Hungary.

Matches are set to start in early August.

The Macedonian handball team was also in action this evening in Adana (Turkey) where it played the host as part of the European qualifying. Macedonia defeated Turkey 35-26, however it must wait for the outcome between Turkey and Lithuania. Last night after 15-10 HT lead, Macedonia only drew Lithuania 24-24.

Only the first placed team moves on, i.e. Lithuania must beat the host by 10 goals to take the first position away from the Macedonians.
